September Dessert Drop

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a "dessert drop"?

Once a month, The Bakesmith releases a unique menu consisting of beloved classics and seasonal items! On the day of the "dessert drop" at 10am, the bakery items become available for online pre-order. Order pick-up is one week after the drop (more info below). Only a limited quantity of each item is made, so reserve yours soon after the drop begins before they sell out!

How do I pick up my order?

Monthly drop orders may be picked up at Ronald Reagan Park (945 S. Weir Canyon Road, Anaheim Hills, CA 92808) at the park picnic tables. The pick-up window is 2:00-4:00pm to maximize same-day freshness of the bakery items.

Custom orders set for pick-up may also be collected at Ronald Reagan Park during your personally selected time window.

How are custom orders different from drops?

While monthly drops are available once a month and feature a menu with both seasonal and classic menu items in limited quantities, custom orders are available year-round with a larger menu consisting of full-sized cakes and classic bakery items. Custom orders are geared towards events, celebrations, or any time you want to reserve a larger number of items (usually 12+). Custom orders are available for free pick-up or delivery with a fee during a time window of your choosing.

What do you mean by "premium ingredients"?

The Bakesmith sources organic, grass-fed, pasture-raised, sustainable, and fair-trade ingredients whenever possible. Absolutely no artificial colors or flavors are used, all baked goods are free of soy and corn-containing ingredients, and all items (except dairy-free cakes) are seed oil-free.

Some of the high quality ingredients we use: Organic unbleached wheat flour, New Zealand grass-fed butter, non-GMO almond flour, Guittard organic fair-trade chocolate, organic sugars, OrgaNick Pastures soy- and corn-free eggs, organic fresh fruit, Organic Valley pasture-raised buttermilk, Clover Sonoma organic pasture-raised sour cream, and more.

Note: All bakery items are made in a kitchen that processes the major food allergens. While the kitchen is frequently sanitized and items fitting certain dietary needs are prepared with special care, avoidance of cross contamination cannot be guaranteed.

Is The Bakesmith licensed?

Yes. The Bakesmith is a cottage food operation licensed by the County of Orange with additional California Organic Program certification that permits labeling of certified organic ingredients.
